Durham Guild is a student society at Durham University, UK. Our aim is to help students develop skills for their careers after graduation. We do this through a number of activities.
Financial Analysis
We perform financial analysis using a range of models (such as DCF and LBO), and publicly available data (such as historical financial statements). The results of these analyses are published on our website and in our magazine.
Research
We conduct research in various areas relating to business and finance, such as business frameworks and strategies, industry trends, and a range of other fields. Our research is also published on our website and magazine.
Talks and Interviews
We invite professionals with expertise in various career paths to give talks to our members. Subject to their preferences, the summaries or transcripts of the talks may also be published on our website or magazine.
Case Discussion Sessions
We host discussions around the potential solutions to business cases. This is an excellent opportunity to practice business problem-solving skills, as well as to consider the opinions of other people related to the cases being discussed.
Consulting
We offer management consulting services to businesses at low prices or free of charge. We hope for our enthusiastic members to be able to contribute valuable ideas to businesses, as well as to allow them to put their business problem-solving skills to practical use.
